ROA Small Syndicate of the Year 2025 winner

Basher Watts Racing Syndicate

For me it’s simple, horse racing is the greatest sport in the world. I want everyone to experience that feeling when your horse crosses the line first — that feeling is completely unmatched.

Horse racing is such a unique sport. With any other sport in the world, the most involved you can be is a spectator. With horse racing you are the most integral part of the sport — an everyday racing fan can become an owner and stand in the parade ring shoulder to shoulder with the giants of the game. We are proof of that when Shes Perfect finished first past the post in the French 1000 Guineas.

My aim is to make racehorse ownership accessible to everyone. I offer both lease and outright ownership options with syndicates for all, some starting from 0.5% and some shares starting from 5%. Whether you are a brand new owner or have been in the game for years, I would absolutely love to have you join the BWR family.

Regardless of the size of your share, I want you to experience all of the benefits of owning a racehorse. Every owner is invited to regular yard visits to spend time with the trainer and other owners, see your horse train and experience life behind the scenes — family and friends welcome. All owners join a WhatsApp group too; part of the fun is the social side, making friends and cheering home your horse together.

It was a huge honour to be nominated for ROA Small Syndicate of the Year 2025, and to be named joint winners with Jim Goldie Racing — voted by the racing public — was a huge achievement.
