Introducing the 4 th National Hunt horse of the Basher Watts Racing Syndicate, Milord D’anjou or Danny as we call him. After a fantastic first season with trainer Ben Pauling with 4 wins coming from our 3 horses we decided we had to add to the portfolio of National Hunt horses.
Like all 3 current horses (My Mate AJ, Wondering Why and The Perfect Poet), Ben sourced them and I purchased them from him, he is very shrewd and somehow manages to find great value every time. Milord D’Anjou has ran in 2 point to point’s (3 mile chases) and ran fantastically. He travels and jumps so well and leads his race until 2 from home before getting tired, he was 3rd last time out and the second (Stromy Wind) has since sold for £235,000 after that race, considering how much the second sold for and the fact it was only stamina and distance that got him beat, we think he is a phenomenal buy and will be lots of fun!
Not only does Danny look a fantastic physical, he has a great page too. He is a full brother to Grand Roi and the sire Spanish Moon has produced some fantastic National Hunt horse including the likes of El Fabiolo, Spanish Harlem, Laurina, Grand Roi, Dallas Des Pictons etc.
