Introducing our brand new Sioux Nation filly. She is still unnamed as I thought her new owners can have some fun and think of a nice name. She was purchased from the December yearling sales at Tattersalls by bloodstock agent Will Douglas. He fell in love with her build, walk and attitude. She is currently in pretraining with Sam Goldsmith in Newmarket and is doing extremely well, she will head in full training with Charlie Fellowes in Newmarket towards the end of January.
She has lots of scope and size about her and looks like she will be lots of fun for her owners. This is the standard type of syndicate, you pay upfront to own your share outright and then pay a set fee which covers all of the costs associated with owning a racehorse such as training, farrier, gallop fees, physio, travel etc.
She will be in training with Charlie Fellowes in Newmarket and not only is Charlie a top trainer but an even better guy! His yard has an open door policy so you can go and see her whenever you want and bring your family. I’ll organise an owners morning every few month where you’re all more than welcome to come and see her and spent the morning at the yard seeing all the horses with the other owners.
All owners will be added to a WhatsApp group with her other owners and trainer Charlie and once payment is received a share certificate and contract will be emailed over. You own your share outright to you will be entitled to your % of the prize money and if she was ever sold you would get your % of the sale too.
With owners badges it differs from course to course, some racecourses offer 8 and some offer 20. We have owners from all over the country so it is extremely unlikely everyone will be able to make it to each raceday so hopefully we will have no issues with everyone getting a badge. Shares start from 2.5% but there is most likely to be around 20-30 owners in total with her. If we are ever oversubscribed for badges preference would be for the owners with the highest stake percentage.
